How do I use my reed diffuser?
First take the stopper out of the cap, then insert the reeds into the diffuser bottle and allow them to absorb the fragrance oil. Flip the reeds after a few hours to help release the scent.
Make sure to place the reed diffuser on top of a protected surface, diffuser oils can damage surfaces and paint.
How long does it take for a diffuser to start working?
It can take 24–48 hours for the reeds to fully absorb the oil and begin diffusing fragrance effectively.
How often should I flip the reeds?
Flip the reeds every 1–2 weeks for a fragrance refresh. Always flip them over a sink or cloth to avoid spills.
How can I make my diffuser scent stronger or lighter?
Use fewer reeds for a lighter scent, or add more reeds for a stronger fragrance. You can adjust this to suit your space.
Where should I place my diffuser?
Diffusers work best in areas with gentle airflow, such as hallways, entryways, or bathrooms. Avoid direct sunlight or heat.
How long will my diffuser last?
Diffusers typically last several months, depending on room size, airflow, and how often the reeds are flipped.
Are diffuser oils safe for skin or pets?
Diffuser oils are for fragrance use only and should not be applied directly to skin. Always keep out of reach of children and pets.
How do I burn my candle for the first time?
For the first burn, allow the wax to melt all the way to the edges of the jar. This usually takes 2–3 hours and helps prevent tunnelling so your candle burns evenly every time.
How long should I burn my candle for?
We recommend burning your candle for no more than 3–4 hours at a time. This helps protect the fragrance and keeps the wax from overheating.
Do I need to trim the wick?
Yes, trimming the wick to around 5mm before each burn helps prevent soot, keeps the flame steady, and ensures a clean, even burn.
Why is my candle tunnelling?
Tunnelling usually happens when a candle isn’t burned long enough the first time. Allowing the wax to melt edge-to-edge on the first burn helps avoid this.
Why is my candle producing soot or a large flame?
This is often caused by a wick that is too long. Extinguish the candle, trim the wick, and relight once the wax has cooled.
Where should I place my candle?
Always place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from drafts, pets, and anything flammable.
When should I stop using my candle?
Stop burning your candle when around 10–12mm of wax remains. This helps protect the vessel and the surface underneath.
